Songs from the Musicals

Our whole school Summer Show saw boys and girls singing songs from the musicals this year. Songs from Oliver!, Annie, Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang and lots more were confidently performed by our pupils. We also had some excellent instrumental solo performances from some of our Year 6 pupils.

Headteacher Norah Johnson commented "It is tremendous to see children as young as three years old take to the stage in front of an audience of nearly 150 people and happily sing and dance. The children all did a fantastic job of learning the words and actions to the songs and their hard work and commitment resulted in a brilliant performance."

We've put together a short video so you can see the children in action. There are plenty of photos on our Facebook page too.

Fun in the Sun at Heaton Park

Pupils in Pre-Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed a fun-filled day at Heaton Park in Prestwich.

The day started with an interesting, guided nature walk where the boys and girls got to walk through woodlands and grasslands and learn about native species of plants and mini beasts. They saw some beautiful dragonflies and damselflies around the pond. They saw horses and climbed stiles along the way.

After lunch it was time for the playground where the children (and teachers) had a fantastic time on the giant slide, swings and other equipment.

There was just enough time to enjoy an ice cream before heading back to school for a rest!

Here are some lovely photos for you to enjoy. We have uploaded an album of photos to our Facebook page.

Memories Made at Waddow Hall

Pupils in Years 5 and 6 had a fantastic time on their residential trip to Waddow Hall in June.

The three day residential saw them take part in lots of fun, challenging activities from climbing to descending at speed on a zip wire! They also had fun doing a crate challenge and grass sledging.

They enjoyed gathering around the camp fire and toasting marshmallows and starbursts!
